Once again in support of the Hyland House Museum I have donated a drawing for auction. The ticketed event will help raise funding to paint the museum. The event will be held 25 September 2022 at the Owenego Club in Branford, CT.

PICTURING HISTORY: HISTORIC BARNS OF CONNECTICUT
I am pleased to announce one of my photographs has been selected for a traveling exhibition to notable historic sites throughout the state of Connecticut. Preserve Connecticut is putting on a juried exhibition of photographs documenting historic barns in the state. The first location will be at Art League of New Britain's gallery space in a c.1870 barn. Visitors will be permitted as long as social distancing guidelines are observed.

USPS ART PROJECT
In an effort to help support the USPS, I am participating in the USPS Art Project!
The USPS Art Project is where two artists partner up, agreeing to each begin a small artwork and mail it using the USPS to the other artist to complete. It's recommended to do this with someone you know, an artist friend or family member. The goal is for unique collaborative artworks to be created, establish deeper connections with others while practicing social distancing while also helping out the struggling USPS by sending and receiving packages.
It is ESSENTIAL that artists practice all safety precautions advised by the CDC to protect anyone else that may come in contact with the mail and artwork. Disinfect anything sent, wear gloves and a mask while creating the work. In fact, it's encouraged to take a photo of yourself doing so! When you receive your half completed work from another artist, let the package sit for a few days, disinfect the surfaces and of course, wash your hands frequently!
Each Artist posts both their started work and finished collaboration work on social media tagging @uspsartproject in the post and keeping the piece they end with unless otherwise decided upon by the participating partners.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists around the world have found themselves without work, teaching, technical support, gallery work, exhibitions and sales have disappeared. In an attempt to help alleviate some of this stress @matthewburrowsstudio has instigated the #artistsupportpledge
The concept is a simple one. You post images of your work to sell for no more than $200 (£200, €200, ¥20000) each (not including shipping.) Anyone can then buy the work. Every time you reach $1000 of sales you pledge to buy another artist's work for $200.
